The region of Tynedale has always been a popular place to live as well as to visit. This is an area of outstanding natural beauty most notable for the Kielder Water/Kielder Forest Park. But, it is also close to major conurbations such as Newcastle upon Tyne and many people will move to Tynedale to access its relatively secluded living space whilst still being close enough to work in one of the north's major towns or cities.
The kinds of properties that you can buy or rent in Tynedale cover all kinds of sizes, designs and tastes. You can buy period properties in the region's towns and villages from small Victorian terraces through to larger and older properties. You also have access to a full range of new build properties both within and outside towns and villages. And, of course there are plenty of flats and other kinds of properties on offer here. Popular locations here include Hexham, Haltwhistle, Prudhoe and Corbridge.
There are also a lot of rural properties in the area which are popular with buyers who wish to move to the region. Again, these can be new builds although many buyers will prefer a period house here. So, you could, for example, move into an old farmhouse conversion flat in Tynedale where you share the building conversion with other owners. Or, you could buy a small farmhouse or agricultural dwelling that comes with some land of its own as an alternative. Popular villages and locations here include areas close to Kielder and villages such as Allenheads.
